Objectives of the Project

OBJ 1: Create a virtual user concept for supporting the development process of consumer products.

OBJ 2: Implement the virtual user concept in a virtual prototyping environment for supporting the specification, design, and evaluation of consumer products’ UIs.

OBJ 3: Validate the applicability of the Virtual User Concept te the applicability of the Virtual User Concept with two selected consumer reference products.

OBJ 4: Investigate the limits of validity of the Virtual User Concept. Illustrate to what extent product development in virtual environments is possible/feasible without employing trials with real users.

OBJ 5: Investigate basic needs of users and the potential of new interaction paradigms.
